Elevator Parts for Waverly Manor
Ellen Hounsome, Property Manager, ellenhounsome@brownbros.com.
One of my past positions was Service Manager for Acme Steel Canada in Alberta. I would try to fix the older equipment, but if not fixable would advise Sales Dept. I wouldn't try to cause a sale by my incompetence, but I think this is exactly what is happening here at the Waverly.
The media in their ignorance, has been making a big deal out of Cdn. Shipyards sourcing repair parts from e-Bay. These media whores / fools will do anything to embarrass the Conservative Government of Canada.
Waverly Manor doesn't need a new elevator, we need a COMPETENT repairperson. Here's where they can get the parts! http://bit.ly/1Kl0vgT
I do not appreciate being held hostage in my home this way!
Yours truly,
Chris J. Slater, http://bit.ly/1FgwNow
Chris,
I thank you for your email.
I was only advised yesterday there was an issue. This elevator is old and parts are hard to find and expensive. I do not have control to spend large sums of money without the owners approval.
We are working as quickly as humanly possible to resolve the elevator issue.

Ellen; This elevator has been out of service since Thursday after noon, May 14, 2015. This in a 75 unit, 2 bedroom / unit 4 floor apartment building across from the Nanaimo Hospital and has a number of disabled tenants including myself. As I was leaving that day at around 2 pm I again attempted to discuss my rental situation with Tammy at which she time she told me she was "tired of my complaining" and walked away shouting back at me. Then when I returned home, I had to get Bill Duncan from #414 to help me get my walker back to my apartment.
Again as with the other issues about my getting a roommate, I believe you are the incompetent party. Your lack of policies and training for your Waverly Manor managers has cost me $4,560 in lost rent, more in time and expenses, something I was trying to discuss with Tammy in light of your refusal to give me a copy of the tenancy application you are, rightfully requiring anyone living here for more than two weeks.
So I hereby am putting you ON NOTICE that I am taking you and Brown Bros. to Landlord and Tenant Arbitration over my lost rent and lack of services. You and your managers need to know this:

I believe Tammy and Jason are doing the best they can under your incompetent leadership which was obvious by your not knowing of the problem until YESTERDAY! I repeat, machinery can continue to function, you need to hire COMPETENT advisers and repair people, not saddle the owners with an unnecessary, new elevator. Why not at least look at this? Again;
